Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
We recognize that confidentiality and privacy is important. Having helped individuals, businesses, and government agencies in a wide range of sensitive areas, we are dedicated to the privacy and confidentiality of our clients.

We created this policy with a fundamental respect for our customers' right to privacy and to guide our relationships with our customers.

Personal Information

In general, you can visit this Web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Our web servers collect the domain names, not the e-mail addresses, of visitors. Our web servers also seek (as many Web sites do) to place a "cookie" (a small data file) on your computer's hard drive which allows the server to determine the computer when it visits again, in order to track statistical information about navigation to and throughout certain areas of our site. This cookie is not used to obtain your name or any personal data, and the information that is tracked is used only for internal purposes, such as to improve site navigation and to measure the effectiveness of our promotional placements, and is not shared with anyone other affiliates and contractors who assist us in these efforts and are bound to confidentiality. However, if you prefer not to accept cookies, you can set your browser to reject them or to alert you before one is placed.

In addition, there are portions of this Web site where we may need to collect personal information from you for a specific purpose, such as to provide you with quotes, services, etc.  The information collected from you may include your name, address, telephone, fax number, or e-mail address. Nevertheless, for your peace of mind, please know that we never have, nor ever will, sell any personal information (i.e., names, numbers, emails, addresses) to anyone.

Domain name information that we collect is not used to personally identify you and instead is aggregated to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc. We use this information to measure the use of our site and to improve the content of our site.

Interpretation Practices

In addition to maintaining privacy and confidentiality of the actual interpreter assignments, we take certain steps that go beyond the standard practices of many other interpretation entities. It is our practice that interpreters utilize dry-erase pads for any interpretation references/aids. In this manner, any and all data (i.e., dates, addresses, names, etc.) which an interpreter may at times make as quick notation in the course of interpreting (a standard practice to ensure accuracy and integrity of interpretations), such data is erased during the course of the interpretation session. In this manner, there are no notes or data which may be compromised. In the rare instances where a paper pad may be used, such materials are always destroyed immediately following interpretation sessions. The only data that is retained, is data that may be related to client billing.

Translation Practices

As with oral interpretations, we take certain steps that go beyond the standard practices of many other translation entities. Any translation documents that we retain on file are also encrypted.

Thus, for the period of time which we may retain translated documents on file, any and all documents which we may retain, are secured and encrypted.

Likewise, though some clients find handling encrypted files cumbersome, we do offer the option of any email attachments to be sent with a unique encryption code so that upon receipt client may open the document (and simultaneously in the unlikely event that a document is intercepted over the internet, it makes it much more difficult for the unauthorized entity to open such document).

Bottom Line

We recognize and respect your privacy and confidentiality. And unless required by law, we will endeavor to maintain any and all information related to a client interpretation/translation matters private and confidential.
